Government allocated $21M towards bay remediation. Called for Expressions of Interest to identify proven technology to destroy contaminants |
| 2000 |
An Australian consortium comprising Thiess Services and Trafalgar Corporate were named the preferred proponent to use leading edge technology to clean contaminated land and water at Homebush Bay. |
| 2001 |
The heads of agreement between the consortium and government has been signed and further detailed contract negotiations are underway. Thiess is to continue the EIS process. |
| 2002 |
A conditional remediation deed was signed between the Waterways Authority and Thiess on 22 November 2001. Thiess expect to have the EIS ready for public exhibition in May 2002. |
